Nisqually Basin and Hair Cuts

We haven’t been out to Nisqually for a while, and I must say – it is even more beautiful in late spring than in the heart of winter. It’s a bird watchers paradise! In a fairly short walk you can go from a lush marshy prehistoric looking forest, to grasslands, to tidal mud pits with tons of little crabs!

On a side note, this past week I scheduled an exceptionally rare hair cut! I have been growing my locks out for years while maintaining my own color and bang cuts – but it was time for a change. I decided to blend in my soon-to-be-gone bangs and chop off all my dead ends. It’s really not that different, but my hair is light enough to hold a curl again!
